First Day of School!!!

Here are my two cute boys on their first day of school. TJ started 2nd grade (AAaaaahhhhhh) and Brenden started 1st grade! (The scream above is because I can't believe I have a second-grader!!!)

They both had a good first day and that will hopefully continue all year long!!!

The Fair

We went to our local fair last week and had so much fun! Here are some of my favorite pics.

The petting zoo was amazing!!! There were so many different kids of animals and the kids had a blast! Kate even got into it. Don't worry......we used lots of sanitizer!

This ride was TJ and Brenden's favorite. They went on it many times!!! Unfortunately, the first time we put Alyssa on it with them. BAD decision. She did not like it and freaked out. Luckily, the operator was really nice and stopped it so she could get off.

They also had pony rides, and all the kids (well, 3 out of 4) loved it!

We even got Alyssa to try it!

We had a really good time! We'll be back next year, I'm sure!!!

Colter Bay!!!

Yay!! We love Colter Bay!!! I have been there almost every year my whole life, and I love passing that tradition to our kids. And they love it too!! Even though we had some (okay lots) of rain and mechanical problems with the boat, we had a great time!!!!

Of course we had to go fishing, and look at all those trout! There were professional (at least they looked pro to us) fly fishermen on both sides of us and they weren't catching anything. TJ caught a fish on his first cast. We had our six trout in about 1 1/2 hours. It was really fun!

We celebrated both Kate and Brenden's birthdays around the campfire. Pretty fun!

The kids caught hundreds of minnows, poor things (the minnows, I mean).

These two were inseperable. So fun!

We all took our bikes, but only the boys really used them. They biked everywhere and had a really fun time.

I think the kids are already counting down to next year's trip!!!

Gracie's Video

It's been awhile since I've talked about Gracie because I just couldn't handle it. I cried every time I started talking about her. It's been awhile and I thought I was okay until I saw Paul Cardall's video. I cried. Again. The video is wonderful, and the music is beautiful. We miss you sweet Gracie! And thank you Paul, for a wonderful portrayal of the Gledhill family's experience. (There is a link to Paul Cardall's blog on my list to the right.)

Swimming Lessons

We have three fishies!!! They all had swimming lessons a couple weeks ago and had a really good time (contrary to her face, Alyssa loved it)! TJ is better than me now, I think. He swims across the short length of the pool and back again, the correct way. Brenden is doing really well also. And Alyssa, well, we're just glad she didn't cry every time she got in. She won't put her head in the water, but can do everything else. She loved her class though!

Yay for swimming!! And yay for it being over!!!

Birthday Boy!!!

Oh how time flies. Such a cute boy. Love you buddy!!!! He had fun on his birthday because we were camping. He got to swim in the lake and have a campfire. How many kids get to do those things on their birthdays???
